Dr. Proulx’s studies began at Brigham Young University, where he majored in Bioinformatics. Next, he attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, which is where he earned his dental doctorate. Over the last 14 years, he has prioritized continuing education. As a result, he has undergone extensive training on laser dentistry, occlusion, Invisalign, and comprehensive treatment planning.

In 2023, Dr. Proulx joined our team, bringing 14 years of experience in the world of dentistry with him. Although he’s originally from Marietta, PA, he’s excited to be providing his friends and neighbors in Hillsboro with the personalized, compassionate, and world-class dental care they deserve. In fact, his favorite part of being a dentist is meeting a variety of new people every day! Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Proulx was inspired to pursue a career in dentistry after his first semester in college. Around this time, he met with a few dentists and learned all about how much they loved their career. He also volunteered in a dental clinic that provided pro bono dental care. When he saw first-hand the positive impact dentistry can have on others, he knew he had found the perfect job for him.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Proulx came from a family of five boys, and he now has two young boys of his own! When he isn’t at our office, pursuing additional training, or spending time with his family, he enjoys meditating, reading, being outdoors, and exploring his other interests, like philosophy and psychology. Here’s a fun fact about him: he enjoyed theatre in high school. He even had leading roles in a few productions!
